Here's a couple things that have been happening:

First - Little Bunny Foo-Foo.....or One Lucky Rabbit

Here's a little bunny my oldest son & I saved last night-

My son was standing in the woods right by our house last night after dark. Both big dogs were going crazy. I went out to investigate and my oldest said the cat had a mouse - it's squeaking. Well, this squeak was much louder than a mouse....And the cat must not have been to hungry since it was more or less "playing" with this terrified creature.

It ended up a chase partly through the edge of the woods and back yard to save this little bunny from 2 crazy dogs and a bad, bad cat. (With much yelling and screaming - the neighbors must love us!) I tell you - my boys are most proud of their mom when I catch some creature for them!

So now the boys think we have a pet bunny.....now I have to try and convince them that we need to let this little guy go.

Oh - he's about as big as my fist and SO CUTE!  And he must have a good heart - I can't believe he didn't keel over from fright during the big chase!

We had our annual overnight trip to the Museum of Natural History in Chicago. It's great - you are actually locked inside the museum overnight and are pretty much free to run wild. There are alot of full size bronze African statues in the lower level. And the bronze is rubbed shiny where people touch the statues the most. Well, there is one of a warrior with his spear and not much else (you know, those warriors aren't shy and not too interested in fashion) So here is this life size warrior in his full frontal glory......or I should say full frontal "rubbed shiny" glory. And as we were walking by husband told the boys to, "LOOK AT THAT!" They both turned around and my oldest let out a huge moan and my youngest comment was, "That's just not right!"

Or course my husband and I found this hilarious (our sick sense of humor coming out you know) But of course the boys were pretty disgusted with us at that point.
It was a great time and my husband brought his new camera - so of course I have many pictures to share! But I don't think took any of that warrior....maybe next year. When no one is looking!

Mother's day I was totally spoiled rotten. My husband pulled weeds for me and the boys both made me cards. My oldest son said I am a cool mom because I like bugs and toads and stuff like that. My youngest drew mutilated snowmen on his card to me.....(that child has been reading way too much Calvin & Hobbes cartoons lately.) Then they really surprised & spoiled me with a portable DVD player.
